WATT ELSE – NETWORK FOR A DYNAMIC ACTORS INVOLVED IN THE TRANSITION OF COMPETENCES IN THE ENERGY FIELD FACING LEARNING CHALLENGES IN EUROPE
WATT ELSE project groups a network of actors representing firms, universities, training organizations, local authorities and employment organizations of all over Europe with the aim of fostering the development of the energy field of activity on its employment area. In a context of mutation of energy production, this consortium aims to help the participant territories and its local stakeholders to adapt to these new environmental and competitiveness challenges.
WATT ELSE project is addressing the following stakes:

Assist an industrial energy branch mutating, in terms of human resources

Update needs of recruitment and training path in the energy field.

Spin off a method of territorial action and learning about the European partners methods.
WATT ELSE project is dedicated to the exchange of good practices in a particular context:

of big expectations of the society, concerning the production and the uses of energy

of deep mutations in the industrial production of energy,
WATT ELSE project priorities are:

Enhancing access to training and qualifications for all, with a particular attention to the low low-skilled, through continuing VET;

Supporting individuals in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competences in the energy field.
In order to support project partners respective territories in the transformation of their local energy sector specifically in terms of human resources, employment and training offer, WATT ELSE project partnership has produced the following main deliverables:

Analysis of local energy challenges, needs, energy strategies and legal supporting framework.

State of the art of the energy sector jobs and competences based on a survey distributed to local private and public stakeholders. The purpose is to understand main stakes in each territory concerning energy sector needs.

Create a collection of existing regional (national) training paths related to energy sector in each territory to cross-matching it with the identified job profiles.
