FUELING THE FUTURE: NEEDS ASSESSMENT

This activity aims to analyse the energy sector and cooperatives education in vocational education and training (VET). The objective is to identify gaps, needs, and opportunities and create educational material for VET students through research and focus groups with trainers, professionals, and experts.

This activity includes 2 phases:

  • Phase 1: Data collection, focus groups and literature review. This phase includes the identification of key stakeholders for the project, such as VET trainers, energy experts, policymakers, etc. Participants will engage in surveys, questionnaires, and focus groups to assess training gaps in the energy sector and ideal educational content.
  • Phase 2: Data analysis, brainstorming, and needs analysis. In the next phase, partners will analyse data from the previous phase, brainstorm findings, design learning material, conduct gap analysis, and identify discrepancies.

ENERGY COMMUNITIES AND THE VET SECTOR

We invite you to participate in a questionnaire designed to support the development of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the green energy sector, with a special focus on community energy.

Your responses will help us to:

  • Share your professional experience and perspectives on community energy and energy cooperatives.
  • Identify training needs and skills gaps in the green energy and VET sectors.
  • Contribute to the design of future training programmes and educational content that support community-led sustainable energy initiatives.
  • Contribute to a broader dialogue on the green transition, social inclusion, and local impact.

This questionnaire complements a series of focus groups that will explore these topics in greater depth. By participating, you provide valuable insights that will help shape effective VET programmes and support tools for energy professionals, educators, and community or cooperative stakeholders.

Practical information:

  • The questionnaire takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
  • Participation is voluntary, and your responses will remain confidential.
  • The questionnaire includes multiple-choice questions as well as optional open-ended questions to share your views and experiences.
