The PROMINENT MED project aims to promote the innovation capacities of the Mediterranean area in order to achieve smart and sustainable growth. In this context, the priority is focused on increasing the international activity of innovative clusters and other networks of key stakeholders in the Mediterranean area.
Likewise, the project seeks to enhance innovation capacity and strengthen the connection between the public and private sectors through the promotion of Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI), with the aim of fostering research and development activities of innovative solutions and technologies in the field of energy efficiency.
One of the achieved outcomes is the establishment of a transnational collaboration network based on the quadruple helix model (municipal authorities, research sector, companies, and civil society) to address the application of PPI in the field of building energy efficiency.
The promotion of PPI as a key tool to unlock existing innovation potential and to foster the commercialization of high-tech innovative solutions applied to building energy efficiency.
The attraction of investments aimed at improving the energy efficiency of public buildings in order to enhance sustainable territorial development and increase business competitiveness.
At the same time, the project includes the participation of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Valencian Association of Energy Service Companies (AVESEN) as associated partners.
