Actions are being carried out to determine the challenges and needs (technical, legal and/or procedural, and even social) that must be addressed through the public contract for promoting the energy community in the participating municipalities.
The pilot action of the local energy community (LEC) will consist, first, of a co-creation phase of the LEC involving the local stakeholders considered relevant to the project. This phase will also serve as the starting point to activate citizen participation in the energy transition, thereby achieving a higher level of development.
Following the citizen participation processes, meetings, and workshops conducted in Alfarb, it was approved that the most suitable legal form for creating CEL Alfarb would be a non-profit association. Once the legal entity was defined and the statutes governing the association were drafted, they were approved on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, with the convocation of the founding assembly.
