The Energy Area of the Consorci de la Ribera, in collaboration with the Alzira City Council, aims to launch a Public Procurement of Innovative Technology (PPI/CPI) under the project “SMART BUILDING CPI – Public Procurement of Innovation as a Tool for Achieving Smart, Sustainable, and Efficient Buildings in the Ribera Region”, funded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI).

For this reason, a market consultation workshop is planned as a preparatory action before the tender process, with the goal of facilitating open dialogue and information flow between the administration and potential suppliers.

The workshop is aimed at manufacturers and suppliers of innovative solutions interested in participating in the real transformation of the building into an energy hub, integrating in a single management system the key aspects of the building as an energy node or hub:

  • Building with minimal energy consumption, reaching a Nearly Zero-Energy Building (NZEB) model.
  • Integration of decentralized renewable energy production.
  • Electric vehicle charging/discharging hub, supporting sustainable mobility of public (and private) vehicles.

The main challenge is the full integration of all building aspects, not only physically, but also optimizing and coordinating their operation. Therefore, a single control system is needed, providing the building with sufficient intelligence to define optimal operating strategies at all times.

This unique management system, with capabilities not yet widely available on the market, can be acquired through a Public Procurement of Innovation process, adapting to the specific needs of the building and the new building model conceived as an energy node.

Attending industry representatives will have the opportunity to report on the current state of technology and showcase their innovative solutions, upon prior registration for the workshop.
