The project approach is divided into three main blocks:
Work Package 1 (WP1): Logistic validation study of the CPI project for valorization of rice straw waste in the Ribera region
A study on possible innovative solutions for waste valorization will be carried out. This study should also assess the feasibility of the innovative project in terms of:
- Waste extraction
- Waste packaging
- Storage
- Possible locations
Finally, the study will include a typical description of the biogas plant and upgrading plant to be configured.
Work Package 2 (WP2): Business Plan of the waste valorization project
SILO (Science & Innovation Link Office), a company specialized in strategic contracting, particularly in Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI/CPI), and with proven experience in similar projects with local entities in the Valencian Community, will be responsible for preparing the Business Plan in terms of CPI.
This Business Plan will incorporate a set of strategies to be implemented, as well as describe the possible CPI financing lines that the Administration can use for the tendering of the rice straw waste valorization project.
Work Package 3 (WP3): Promotion of Public Procurement of Innovation
CPI promotion actions including the dissemination of the project, aiming to facilitate the participation of companies and other interested entities.
The main farmers’ associations will be identified for their involvement and awareness of the project through a working session, and finally, a public dissemination workshop of the CPI project will be held.
