Energy Managers

The ENERGY MANAGERS service aims to reduce energy costs and promote the use of renewable energy in municipal facilities across the Ribera region.

Through the ENERGY MANAGERS service, the Energy Department carries out assessments to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and other municipal facilities, achieving both economic and energy savings through the implementation of actions such as:

  • Analysis and optimization of contracted energy tariffs.
  • Preparation of studies and/or audits to design and implement measures that reduce energy consumption in buildings while promoting renewable energy sources. These actions include:
    • Studies for the replacement of outdated or inefficient systems in municipal buildings and facilities (public lighting, heating and air conditioning systems, as well as general lighting).
    • Promotion of renewable energy-based systems.
    • Building envelope improvements and refurbishment of structural elements to achieve lower energy consumption and better environmental quality for users.

Through this service, municipalities in the Ribera region entrust the Energy Department with tasks such as the joint procurement of electricity and natural gas supplies, conducting energy audits of public outdoor lighting systems, and providing technical assistance for the implementation of biomass-based heating and domestic hot water (DHW) systems.
