LA RIBERA ZEROCO2: EARLY DEMAND MAP

LA RIBERA ZEROCO2 – EARLY DEMAND MAP

EARLY DEMAND MAP

The LA RIBERA ZEROCO2 project develops the Early Demand Map (MDT) of the Ribera region through the analysis and identification of objectives, needs, and challenges related to the low-carbon economy of the municipalities in the Ribera area, which can therefore be addressed through Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) to achieve an energy-sustainable territory.

The LA RIBERA ZEROCO2 project aims to contribute to:

  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by promoting renewable energy production and improving energy efficiency.
  • Extending the lifecycle of materials by fostering a circular economy.
  • Promoting sustainable mobility.

The Early Demand Map constitutes a list of identified needs aimed at achieving an energy-sustainable territory across the municipalities of the Ribera del Xúquer region. This list makes it possible to identify objectives, needs, and/or challenges linked to future public procurement processes that must be addressed through PPI, anticipating market needs and providing companies with guidance to align their R&D&I initiatives with future tenders.

These needs are aligned with both socio-territorial objectives and citizens’ demands.

The priority areas of action identified for the municipalities of the Ribera (in relation to the Climate and Energy Action Framework), based on needs and opportunities, include the deployment of renewable energy, electric mobility, and the achievement of a nearly zero-energy building stock.

Areas of interest and identified innovation challenges:

TECHNOLOGICAL SURVEILLANCE

For the analysis of available technologies, a market and technology study is carried out focusing on innovative solutions available on the market, related to smart and highly energy-efficient public building stock, smart and energy-efficient public lighting networks, sustainable mobility, and EU framework projects for the development of energy hubs.
